The Alexandria water company announced low pressure or cuts from noon on Monday 5 October 2026 in old Borg El Arab, Bahig, Abu Sir, El Gharbaniyat, Rafea El Hammam and New Borg El Arab.
The cause was moving the main that feeds the Borg El Arab lifting station («المرحلة الرابعة», the fourth stage) off the route of the high-speed electric train.
