Before Eid al-Adha, Borg El Arab Markaz and City inspected shops, service and industrial premises for licences and for the safety of food and medicine.
The supply directorate, the veterinary service, the Drug Authority and the Food Safety Authority took part, and 20 closure orders were issued for premises in breach.
